Greece’s strong tourism sector is lifting the country’s holiday home market and hotel industry, according to real estate Algean Property.
In a 2016 flash report, Algean said that these markets are drawing the attention of investors who realize that they can ensure very attractive returns through the acquisition and development of a hospitality investment.
“The recovery of the holiday home market was apparent in 2016. The interest from abroad was further reinforced with demand coming from Europe, Russia, China, USA, Lebanon, Turkey , Egypt, and UAE,” it said in the report.
Demand is focused on the main tourist destinations in Greece, such as Mykonos and Santorinin, as well as the stretch outside of Athens leading up to Sounion, known as the Athenian Riviera, the report added
