Wyndham Hotel Group, one of the three business units of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, is close to acquiring a second hotel in Athens, continuing its global expansion plans, according to a press report.
Citing unnamed sources, Capital.gr reported that Wyndham is a step away from announcing details in a deal with hotel management company Zeus International. No further details were reported.
Last month, Windham opened its first hotel in Athens at Karaiskaki square, the former Imperial Hotel in a 5 million euro investment. The hotel had been shut down since the end of 2012.
Wyndham Hotel Group is the world’s largest hotel company based on number of hotels. Its global portfolio consists of nearly 8,000 properties.
