Greek PM gets busy cutting ribbons for new highways

Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras is expected to cut the ribbon next month in several ceremonies marking the completion of new highway extensions being completed, in crucial infrastructure projects for the country, Greek government sources said Thursday.

The first ceremony will be held on April 1, to mark the completion of the Larissa (central Greece) highway link with northern Greece's Thessaloniki.

A few days later, the Greek prime minister will attend the inauguration of the Corinth-Patras highway in the Peloponnese, the officials added.

Lastly, towards the end of April, the Ionian Odos highway, will be handed over to the public, connecting Ioannina with Patras in western Greece.
