In a rare initial public offering (IPO) for the Greek equities market, real estate investment company BriQ has applied to list its shares on the Athens bourse through a share capital hike, the Greek company said Wednesday.
BriQ, a subsidiary of IT group Quest, has currently seven real estate assets in its portfolio, and is aiming to take advantage of opportunities in the Greek property market, chief executive Anna Apostolidou, said in a statement.
The company applied for the IPO with the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission and the Athens bourse. No information regarding the size of the IPO has been made public. Eurobank will underwrite the deal.
