Greece's deputy economy minister Stergios Pitsiorlas said Thursday that a series of Chinese companies showed interest in investing in Greece, targetting sectors including tourism and real estate, in meetings held between Greek and Chinese officials earlier this week, reported state news agency ANA-MPA.
"Chinese groups are beginning to systematically assess investment opportunities offered by Greece," said Pitsiorlas.
Earlier this week, Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras visited China where he met with
with Chinese President Xi Jinping, who said that the two countries need to expand their cooperation in energy, infrastructure, oceanic and telecommunications sectors.

-Investment plans include large public works in transport (railway infrastructure, urban transport, port facilities, airports, etc), energy infrastructure projects.

-Investment plans include large real estate property, film production, funding for cultural program, promoting travel packages for Chinese tourists, logistics, privatization of airports, port marinas, health.
China Development Bank
Everbright Financial Investment Holding
-Investment plans include expansion in Greece, funding of energy infrastructure projects, tourism, real estate, opening a branch in Greece.
China Aluminum International Engineering
-Plans include investments in upgrading and expanding aluminum production units.
New Hope Group
-Plans include investments in food, production/manufacturing, storage, cooperation with Greek food companies for imports to China.
-Plans include investments with the Greek organization and certification of export products.
