Milk cooperative expands with 30 new stores across Greece


A Greek cooperative of milk producers that operates a chain of automated stores is planning to expand rapidly in coming years, opening 30 new stores across the country, it said Wednesday.

Called THESgala, the cooperative sells milk produced by farmers in Thessalia, central Greece, started in 2011 and has vending machines located at 63 points in Athens, Thessaloniki and Larissa.

The network will expand via franchise, it said in a statement.

The co-op, sells about 30 tons of milk per day, amounting to 35% of milk produced by its members.
