A sports stadium used by AEL Larissa football team in central Greece that meets UEFA criteria is going under the hammer due to unpaid debts, reports thessalieconomy.gr.
Piraeus Bank is putting the stadium up for sale due to unpaid loans of 57 million euros taken out by a former club president to build the sports ground in 2010. The starting price for the stadium has been set at about 19 million euros.
The ground seats 16,118 people and is ranked as a three star stadium by UEFA. AEL Larissa plays in Greece's top flight Superleague.
