Cost of building materials continues slide in December

The cost of building materials in Greece fell by an annual pace of 0.5% in December, continuing on a slide stretching more than three years, according to data released by Greece’s statistics office Tuesday.

This compares with a drop of 1% in the previous month, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said in a statement.

In December, the biggest drops were recorded in cement (-1.6%) and tiles and sanitary ware (-1.6%), ELSTAT added.
