Mitsis to build luxury Mykonos hotel, upgrade resorts

Mitsis Hotels has launched a two year investment program involving the building of a new luxury hotel in Mykonos and renovations to its 17 hotels across Greece , according to a Greek news report.

The group plans to build a 100 bed luxury room and apartment resort on Mykonos, starting next year, reported website It also intends to spend 4 million euros in upgrading the Sofitel hotel at the Athens airport.

Ahead of this year’s tourism season, the group has started renovating the Rodos Village beach hotel (Rhodes) and the Rinela beach resort and spa in Crete, the report adds.
