Greece will be hitting the road in the next few months and taking part in international real estate exhibitions in a bid to promote the country's visa-for-investment program and draw foreign investment.
The program offers non European Union investors a five year residency permits that can be renewed with investments in excess of 250,000 euros. In comparison with other EU countries that offers similar residency programs such as Cyprus and Spain, Greece has had poor results since launching it 2013 but interest seems to be picking up.
Data shows that most investors Greece has offered residency permits come from China, Russia, Egypt and Lebanon.
Enterprise Greece, a state agency tasked with drawing investors to Greece, will take part in three exhibitions in Russia, Lebanon and China.
