Greece Hotels-France's AccorHotels eye first Ibis unit for Athens

French hotel group AccorHotels is looking at opening its first Ibis hotel in Athens, after having expanded into the island of Crete, reported Greek website Thursday.

Via the French German fund Boissee Finances, that works with AccorHotels, the French hotel company is considering the launch of the Ibis brand in central Athens.

This could be done at a 1,900 square meter building on Patision street, Athens, that Boissee Finances has leased for 25 years and is turning into a hotel that is scheduled to open at the end of next year, the site added.
