The area is drawing up to 80% of enquiries from foreigners looking to buy a house in Athens, industry officials say, with buyers looking to combine beachside living with close proximity to the hustle and bustle of the Greek capital.
But what prices can investors expect to pay on these homes?
At the top end of the market, prices start at 4,672 euros per suqare meter at Vouliagmeni and 4,283 euros per square meter in Kato Hellinkon, according to spitogatos.gr. For those with a smaller budget, property in Vari is going for 2,293 euros per square meter.
