Former opera house up for rent
The Bank of Greece, the country's central bank, has launched a tender for the lease of the Olympia theater, which housed the Greek National Opera up until six months ago.
The theater, located at 59 Acadimias street, Athens, first accomodated performances from the national opera in 1942. Early this year, the opera group moved to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center in southern Athens.
NAI Hellas is managing the rental agreement on behalf of the bank that owns the building.
