Grreece says winding up Hellinnikon paperwork process

Greece will go ahead and issue joint ministerial decisions allowing for the construction of the Hellinikon complex by October, said Deputy Economy and Development Minister Stergios Pitsiorlas on Friday.

Speaking in parliament, Pitsiorlas said that "on the Hellinikon project we are reaching the end" and that the governnment is in the process of issuing joint ministerial decisions on construction and development zone issues.

The move would be a significant step for the delayed project that has been heavily opposed by local residents and factions of the ruling left wing government.
