9 in 10 Thessaloniki hotels on investment path
The hotel landscape in Thessaloniki is changing with five new hotels currently being built in the northern Greek city, said the president of the Thessaloniki Hotels Association, Andreas Mandrinos, on Thursday.
"In regards to the existing hotels, 90 percent of them have made investments in the last five years," Mandrinos told Athens-Macedonian News Agency.
Currently, the association's members number 86 hotels, with most of them being three star units, he said.
The current work being done on upgrading Thessaloniki's airport and port facilities will create positive momentum for the sector once completed, added Mandrinos.
