Tender for Athens hotels extended 'due to strong interest'
Social security fund Efka is giving investors more time to bid for the long term lease of two of its buildings in central Athens being offered as hotels, it said in a statement.
Efka said that it has pushed back the deadline for those interested in leasing each of the two properties for 30 years (with an additional 10 years also available) due to "the strong interest that has been shown...and to help in the collection of the necessary paperwork needed to participate (in the tender)."
The deadline for the former Esperia Palace hotel, located at Stadiou 22, has been pushed back to December 12. The nine storey hotel covers total space of 12,235 metres.
The new deadline for the second property, located at Zalacosta 7, has been set for November 21. This is a listed five storey building that covers 1,854 square meters.
