Piraeus Bank to auction off 26 properties next month

Piraeus Bank, the country's largest lender, will auction off a batch of 26 properties on January 9-10 via its electronic platform properties4sale.gr.

The assets are tied to bad debt held by the lender that amount to nearly one in two loans sitting on its balance sheet.

Starting prices for the real estate will range from 20,000 euros to 900,000 euros and the properties will include apartments, offices, retail stores and property lots.

In previous auctions, the bank sold about one in two properties that went under the hammer.
