Spain's data center market seen growing 5.8 pct by 2026

Spain’s data center market is expected to witness growth of 5.85 percent by 2026, on investments of nearly $2 billion, Arizton says in a report.

“The adoption of cloud-based services, technological advancements, and migration to on-premise facilities is likely to drive the colocation services market during 2021–2026,” according to Arizton.

The Spain data center market has several IT infrastructure providers, construction contractors, support infrastructure providers, and investors.

Atos, Broadcom, Cisco System, Dell Technologies, Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), IBM, Juniper Networks, Lenovo are the major vendors in the IT infrastructure market.

New data center investors are entering the Spanish market, owing to growth opportunities. Equinix, Digital Realty (Interxion), Adam Ecotech, Nabiax, Colt DCS, and Global Switch are among the prominent providers operating in the colocation market.

Currently, there are 42 existing data centers in Spain, with the majority located in Madrid and Barcelona.
