UCI Greece launches RETAMA real estate platform

Debt management company UCI Greece, a joint venture between Spain’s Banco Santander and France's BNP, has launched RETAMA real estate services in a bid to promote properties tied to problem loans.

RETAMA Real Estate along with UCI Greece LMS established a network of partners (civil engineers, appraisal companies, notaries, accountants, lawyers, real estate brokers, insurance brokers, security companies) to provide holistic services regarding the process of facility management, technical and legal maturing, and commercialization of real estate assets, the company said in a statement

Along with the launch of Retama Real Estate, the real estate platform www.Retama.gr, was introduced that will host the properties for sale that the company manages.

With Greek banks unloading billions of euros of bad debt in recent months, loan management companies have been picking up efforts in managing the assets acting as collateral on the loans by either hooking up with property managers or setting up their own real estate services.

In December, loan servicing company doValue Greece introduced the property platform Altamira Properties to the Greek market. Based on the platform from Spanish company Altamira, it promotes real estate, enabling investors and individuals to seek solutions and opportunities that suit their needs.
